Midlands Water Authority
Physical & Electronic Security
Background
A water authority that supplies fresh water and treats sewage for over 5 million people living in the Midlands sought a new supplier for the provision of a new operational maintenance contract, covering all of Physical & Electronic Security services across its entire estate.
On successfully winning the competitive tender, which included site assets, security systems, including intruder and panic alarms, access control equipment, intercoms, locks, gates and barriers. Optyma Security Systems built a dedicated engineering team to support all its operational areas and sites.
As part of the contract award, Optyma ensured a full audit plan was completed for each site on the first service visit. In addition to providing a complete asset register and lifecycle report.
Following the comprehensive audit, a full site instruction manual was made available to the dedicated engineering team. This identified the methodology of planned preventative maintenance and the full testing schedule of all security systems and equipment within the scope of the water authorities’ sites.
Following each preventative maintenance visit, Optyma submits all maintenance records and reports to the water authorities management team. This report details all repairs, systems faults and life cycle schedules of equipment with suggested upgrade paths and required stock levels.
